新年快樂

I don’t really think this post is going to be about the new year, but somehow I had to show that my Chinese is improving 😀

What happened with me after the end of the school year and the end of my teaching period in here? After leaving school on Friday(16th) I went back to Taoyuan. On Saturday I went with one of the AIESEC members to take photos at the nearby National Central University’s campus which took around 3-4 hours. On Sunday I was supposed to go to the winter conference which was from Jan.18 to Jan.22 but since I’ve already been through 3 similar seminars I decided to skip.

Instead of going north I went south to Kaohsiung(with Taitung as my final destination for this trip). Without any idea what exactly I was going to do once I get there I just decided to improvise. First night I stayed in Kaohsiung(高雄) where i found a good hostel near the Love River. Next day early in the morning I went to Taitung(台東) which is a small, beautiful city on the Pacific Ocean. After walking around  for a while I rented a bicycle and continued my trip on two wheels. My real desire was to visit the nearby green island, but in winter, the conditions are really difficult for traveling to there since there is only one ferry and it’s not even going every day. I spent all my time exploring the area and in the evening I went back to Kaohsiung. Next 3 days I visited probably every single tourist attraction…but unfortunately I didn’t bring my cable along and all the photos are still on the camera. I met some English teachers in Kaohsiung as well as some other foreigners.

Yesterday I came to 大甲(Dajia) where I am staying right now. Tomorrow I am going to Taipei in the morning, but what’s happening after that I can’t tell…I have 4 days before I leave 😦
